Mark Lee (Master Engine Programmer) gave a talk to some Sony first-party studios last year on Resistance: Fall of Man. Beginning with how Insomniac made the leap into the PS3, Mark gave a very thorough overview on RFOM. Included are details on terminology, memory layout, shader trade-offs and a whole lot more.
These details are a little out-of-date (a whole lot has changed with the engine and tools since the release of RFOM!), but I hope it will still be interesting to our friends and peers that read this site.
