Ratchet & Clank Return to PSN This Fall in Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault!

Hey folks,

At Insomniac, we are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ratchet & Clank, which is coming up later this year. We know that the HD remaster of our classic PS2 Ratchet & Clank games is something our community has been requesting for a long time, and we’re looking forward to bringing this to fans this summer with the Ratchet & Clank Collection.

We’ve also heard a lot of community requests to develop a new Ratchet & Clank game, and one that returns to the classic third-person Ratchet & Clank camera. We listened to your requests, and this holiday season Insomniac will release our own new Ratchet & Clank game as part of our 10th Anniversary Celebration.

I’d like to officially announce that Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be coming soon to a PlayStation 3 near you.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is a fun-sized Ratchet adventure which will be available for download exclusively on the PlayStation Store. We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play Ratchet & Clank! Even better, the addition of online features means you can experience Full Frontal Assaultwith your friends, so stay tuned! We’re really excited about this game, and we hope even these small tidbits about it get you excited too.

We’ve been hard at work on Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault and now we’re giving you a sneak peek at this first piece of art to give you a taste of what we have in store for you when the game launches later this year. In the meantime, we hope you pick up the Ratchet & Clank Collection when it comes out this summer. We’ll have some more news on the Collection’s release date and a special surprise for North America in the next couple of weeks.

    Awesome! I’ve bought every single Ratchet & Clank game, and I already know this is a no-brainer day one buy! I enjoyed the last PSN release, Quest for Booty, so I am definitely excited for this!

    Please at least give Ratchet new armor i’m tired of the same old TOD/A4O outfit. It was cool in TOD but then you gave him awesome armor for ACIT then you went back to the TOD suit for A4O it kinda gets tiring I mean come on even QFB had a different outfit for Ratchet and that game was hella short. I know this is tiny but just make him look different that’s all I ask. I’ll still buy the game even if you dont but i’ll also be dissapointed as well. Thanks for reading this

    will this be like Quest for Booty or a complete game? Either way is awesome but just wondering. I’m just now replaying all of the series so this will be awesome to have a new one to look forward to.

    So excited for this! However I must ask, will you be changing Ratchet’s look back to what it was in Crack in Time? Or perhaps even a slight adaptation of that? I’m sorry but I REALLY hated his redesign in All 4 One. …like a LOT.
    Also, Quest for Booty was available on disc in Europe (I’m in South Africa but we get the European stuff). Will this be on Disc as well or will I have to get it off PSN like America?

    Also, MAKE A BUTT-LONG TRILOGY! :D I’m DYING for a nice lengthy story again! and make it REALLY nice and long this time! because that would pretty much be the greatest thing in the entire world.

      it will be available on disc but it will be called Ratchet and Clank Q-Force

    I hope this game changes Ratchet’s look. I hate the design in All 4 One, which also sucked because I’m the only Ratchet and Clank fan in my whole house. The game being made to be played with others kinda sucks when it’s just you. Also, I hated the way quickselect worked, half the time I was pulling the wrong weapon because R3 brought up the screen AND selected the weapon. I know this comment doesn’t matter, but feedback is still feedback.

    Ok, so……..this article was posted on May 30th with a quote from Ted saying “We’ll have some more news on the Collection’s release date and a special surprise for North America in the next couple of weeks.” Today is July 3rd (over a month later) and still no news on the release date or the info on the special surprise for North America? Last time I checked……”couple” meant two and we have accomplished that more than twice over. Where is this info??? I already preordered the game from Amazon (cuz I am a HUGE fan of the franchise and am eager to get me some HD versions of the games I fell in love with), but……the suspense is killing me and I like follow through with something that has been stated. Give it up Ted!!! :D
