Into the Nexus Music Recorded by Symphony at Ocean Way
“If music be the food of love, play on.”
If that famous Michael Bay quote resonates with you, then you are about to be stuffed with loveliness when you play Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.
As is usual with the series, Into the Nexus will be fully stocked with original music as you smash crates, float in zero-G, and snowmenify enemies. Michael Bross, a Ratchet veteran, returned to the write score, but this time – we took it a step further. We are happy to announce that select pieces of Into the Nexus’ score were orchestrated by Nashville Music Scoring at the Ocean Way Nashville Recording Studio, who has also recorded the soundtracks for The Last of Us and Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
This is a big deal, not just for audiophiles, but for everyone with ears. As Jamie McMenamy, Senior Audio Designer on Into the Nexus, puts it, “While sample based scores can sound incredible these days, having a real orchestra perform and record the music adds a greater level of depth and quality to the recordings.” So, with a live recording, you are basically unlocking the music to its full potential. It’s like upgrading Buzz Blades from LVL 2 to LVL 3. LVL 2 is pretty awesome, but LVL 3 kicks everything up a notch.

And then treat yourself to the finished product!
So, when you are running around the game when it launches on November 12th – take a second to enjoy the melody that is accompanying your destruction.
