Fuse Previews

The cover has been lifted off Fuse and below is what people around the web are saying! On top of that head over to the PS Blog for Fuse Creative Director Brian Algeier’s official post.

We also wanted to share some feedback from a group of fans we brought in to play the game last week. Check out what they have to say and ask them questions here: http://www.insomniacgames.com/community/showthread.php?49448-Fuse-Q-amp-A!/

Finally, be sure to check out GT.TV with Geoff Keighley on Spike TV September 13th at 10 p.m. PDT. They have an exclusive look at the first ever Fuse raw gameplay footage.

  • Shack News: “Fuse represents a potentially large jump forward for shooters. It features a brand new engine that allows the game’s programmers and artists to update assets much quicker than they could in the past, while allowing players to take full control of characters at all times, rather than find themselves stuck in certain animations.” http://www.shacknews.com/article/75716/fuse-preview-overstrike-reborn
  • You guys definitely know how to pull a Preview-Event!… even though I wasn’t there… 😛

I don’t know how we all survived being in one room with THAT MUCH awesomeness going on…

Congrats on the announcement Insomniac. You seem to have really caught the attention of a bunch of new fans.

The self-congratulatory attitude here is kind of gross. Sure, big press release sites will say nothing but good about any game before it comes out, to cover their asses in case it turns out to be OK. I’d like to see some IG community manager address the fact that the gaming community has pretty much been universally disappointed and saddened by the way FUSE has done away with the delightful look, feel, and attitude Overstrike had. I’m sure you guys are reading message boards, comments sections. You know this.

I understand, once this much effort has been put into a game, you probably can’t do much in the way of reacting to this kind of fan feedback, especially since it concerns some really core aspects of your game. But all we’ve heard is that IG is “standing behind their decision”. How about an explanation?

You would be surprised at how much this stuff matters. When I saw the trailer for Overstrike, I had mentally put that game on a list of games I’d be buying. Now, not at all. Isn’t that what matters?

  • why change the tite of the game it sounded so much better called overstrike. overstrike sounds to me that the team over kill fure sound like a fure is in electric equipment and they only blow omce in awhile
