Computer specialist, engineer, guru, hacker, techie - these are the synonyms that
are used to describe a programmer… so then I guess we are looking for a senior
guru, a senior hacker and a senior techie… or something along those lines!
Insomniac Games is looking for that gem of a senior programmer, who is still
looking to push boundaries even though they have been in the industry for a few
years. We are looking for the person who is never satisfied with "good enough"
and who is still looking for "that challenge" that will make the game as mind-
blowing as possible, and raise the level of programming and code development for the whole group.
Qualities to have:
Identify, design, and implement game systems to facilitate the creation top quality gameplay.
Work with others to ensure that system designs meet Insomniac requirements.
Determine robust, well-thought, and innovative solutions to various programming challenges.
Assist others in creating systems
Produce clean, well documented, and extensible code.
Ensure that games continually function throughout the development cycle.
What we are looking for you to have:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics preferred, or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have shipped at least 2-3 titles
Extreme fluency in C++.
Familiarity with visualstudio.net.
Proficiency in assembly level programming a plus.
