Animator (North Carolina)

Have you been under a rock? Haven't you heard that Insomniac Games is growing - and looking for new talent to work in our new North Carolina office?? One of the positions that we are looking for- is an animator to work on a fun AAA title with great characters! You'll be like one of the Nine Old Men, only there won't be nine of you. And you don't necessarily need to be old.

 

We are looking for an animator who can:

• Animate characters, weapons, vehicles and everything else that moves.

• Create sophisticated character performances for in-game and cinematic sequences.

• Collaborate with other animators and programmers to make movie quality in-game animation.

 

Tools and tricks that you bring with you are:

• Advanced and demonstrated understanding of creating personality with basic animation principles, including squash and stretch, timing and motion, anticipation, staging, follow through, pose to pose, slow in and out, arcs, exaggeration, secondary action, and appeal.

• Advanced Maya use

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Extra special are Game credits!
